You should be very wary of unsolicited cold calls from people claiming to be from Windows , Microsoft , Norton , or a host of other companies. It is a very prevalent scam these days, where the caller, usually with an Indian accent (because most of these operations are based in India using cheap VOIP telephony), tells you that he or she can see virus activity on your computer often saying that it was picked up while scanning the network.
